Cooking my way through Oh She Glows

Living through a pandemic— one vegan recipe at a time.

Have you heard of the movie Julie & Julia? This is a movie about a buffering adult who doesn’t have much figured out, except that she likes cooking and is obsessed with Julia Child (an American French Chef). Great movie. Bizarre ending.

This is essentially the same idea, except veganify it. I am going to cook my way through Angela Liddon’s vegan cookbook ‘Oh She Glows For Dinner’. This is her third cook book.

Why are you doing this?

  1. As we enter the third wave of the pandemic; my anxiety is through the roof and I need a healthy outlet to channel my chaotic energy. Luckily, this cookbook is hundreds of pages long.
  2. Angela Liddon is a fellow Canadian and lives just one city over. She is a survivor of an eating disorder and literally cooked her way back to health. She is now a New York Times best selling author!
  3. I am craving a new challenge and the excitement of following through on a goal.

Rules make fun happen?

  1. Articles will be published on Sunday and Wednesday. This deadline is doable and more importantly doesn’t make me jittery with nerves.
  2. Recipes will be cooked in order they are printed. I don’t have a good reason for this rule, it just seams like chaos to pick them randomly.
  3. My mother and sister will get the benefit of eating what I cook. Not so much a rule, more a symptom of my living situation.

I’ll see you Wednesday!
